A message on the print
Write on the bottom margin of a full-frame print: happy birthday, the age, an in-joke. Choose from five fonts and any colour, with up to two lines, then send it to the birthday person.

The date stamp puts the day in the corner of every print. Keep each birthday in its own stack, and in a few years you'll be able to flick through every cake and every candle count.
A collage instead of 40 photos
After the party, pick up to 12 prints and share them as one collage. It makes a better birthday message than a long run of separate photos.
