A disposable camera, in your pocket.
DisCam is a disposable camera app for your phone. Load a roll, shoot until it's full, and only see your photos when you develop it, the way a disposable camera works. No lab and no waiting for the post.

Wind on for your first shot
Load a roll, count every shot
Every photo in DisCam belongs to a roll. With DisCam Pro you load 12, 24 or 36 shots, and the seven-segment counter on the camera ticks up as you go. When the roll is full, it's full: you load a new one.
A limit sounds like a step backwards, but it changes how you shoot. You wait for the moment instead of taking twenty of the same thing, and every frame on the roll ends up meaning something.
Wind on, then wait
Pick Disposable when you load a roll and nothing prints as you shoot. Before every shot you wind the wheel on, by dragging it to the right or pressing it, just like the thumbwheel on a real disposable.
When you're ready, finish the roll and develop it in one go. The prints feed out one after another and collect into a pile, so seeing a whole day of photos at once feels like opening the envelope from the lab.

Or let each shot print straight away
Prefer to see them now? Load an Instant roll instead. Each shot prints at once: the paper slides out of the Dynamic Island and develops slowly in your hand, from blank to full colour.
You choose Instant or Disposable for each roll, so a weekend away can be a disposable roll and a dinner can be instant.
The look people miss
Disposable photos have a feel: warm colour, a bit of grain, harsh flash at night and the date glowing in the corner. DisCam has all of it.
- Ten films, from Warm 35 to Flash ’99, each with its own colour, contrast and grain.
- On-camera flash (off, on or auto) for the end of the night.
- A glowing seven-segment date stamp in orange, white, green or black.
- An optional light leak, and sliders for film intensity and grain.
Questions
- Can I see my photos before I develop a disposable roll?
- No. That's the point of Disposable mode: shots stay hidden until you finish the roll and develop it. If you'd rather see each photo straight away, load an Instant roll.
- Do I have to wait a set time to develop?
- No. You develop a disposable roll whenever you're ready: straight after the last shot, the next morning, or a month later.
- Is DisCam free?
- Start with two free rolls of 5 shots each, one instant and one disposable. DisCam Pro unlocks unlimited rolls, stacks and photos. No account and no ads.
- Does it work without signal?
- Yes. DisCam works offline. It only goes online to check or buy DisCam Pro, and it never uploads your photos.
- Which phones does it run on?
- iPhones on iOS 17 or later, and Android phones. Phones without a Dynamic Island get a drawn one in the same place, with the same layout.
