Terms of Use

These terms apply when you use the DisCam app and this website, discam.app. By using either, you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use DisCam.

1. Using DisCam

DisCam is free for personal use. We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app on devices you own or control, for as long as you follow these terms. Your use of the app is also subject to the terms of the app store you downloaded it from.

2. Your photos

The photos you take and import with DisCam are yours. The app doesn’t upload them anywhere, and we claim no rights over them.

You’re responsible for what you photograph and share. Please respect other people’s privacy and rights, and don’t use DisCam for anything unlawful.

3. Keep copies of photos you care about

Your photos exist only on your phone. If you delete them, erase DisCam, uninstall the app, or lose or reset your phone, they may be gone for good. We hold no copy and can’t recover them. Save the prints you want to keep to your photo library or another backup.

4. Our app and brand

The DisCam name, logo, film looks, design and code belong to us. You may not copy, modify, sell or distribute the app, or reverse-engineer it, except where the law allows you to.

5. Changes to the app

We may update, change or stop offering the app or this website at any time. We’ll try to keep DisCam working well, but we can’t promise it will always be available or free of errors.

6. Our responsibility to you

DisCam is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for any loss of photos or data, or for any indirect or consequential loss, arising from your use of the app or this website.

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that can’t be limited by law. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

7. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how DisCam handles your information. In short, the app collects no personal data and your photos stay on your phone.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales will deal with any dispute. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring proceedings in your local courts. If you live elsewhere in the UK or the EU, you keep any protections that the consumer laws where you live give you.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we’ll change the date at the top of this page. If you keep using DisCam after a change, the updated terms apply.
